About Us
Preserving History. Honoring Legacy. Serving Community.
The Red Rock Cemetery Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation, care, and respectful stewardship of the historic Red Rock Cemetery. Founded by community members with deep ties to the region, our mission is to honor the legacy of those laid to rest here while ensuring the cemetery remains a place of dignity, reflection, and heritage for generations to come.
Our Mission
To preserve and maintain Red Rock Cemetery as a sacred space that reflects the rich history of our community, offers a place of remembrance for families, and fosters education about the cultural and historical significance of those who came before us.
What We Do
-
Maintenance & Preservation
We oversee regular upkeep of cemetery grounds, including landscaping, repair of headstones, fencing, and pathways to ensure the space remains welcoming and well-preserved. -
Historical Documentation
We work to document and archive the stories, records, and genealogies connected to the individuals interred here—many of whom played vital roles in the development of our local community. -
Community Engagement
Through events, educational programs, and volunteer opportunities, we invite the public to participate in preserving this important landmark. -
Restoration Projects
We actively pursue funding and volunteer support for ongoing restoration efforts, especially for older and at-risk gravesites.
Our Vision
To protect Red Rock Cemetery as a living memorial that not only pays tribute to the past but also connects the community to its roots, values, and shared history.
Get Involved
We are powered by passionate volunteers, generous donors, and local partners. Whether you’re interested in contributing time, resources, or simply learning more, we welcome you to join us in our mission.
